Data Privacy Statement

Basics

This data privacy statement aims to inform you about purpose, nature and scope Dr. Matthias Malzer (as responsible person for this website) uses personal data.

Dr. Malzer takes data protection very seriously and treats your personal data with care, confidentially and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Purpose of the data processing

Your personal data is only processed with your consent. Data processing is done based on the mandate between Dr. Malzer and you.

 

Term of data retention

Your personal data I collect in the course of my Luxembourgish activities shall be retained for a term of 3 years. This term starts when the mandate between me and you has been terminated. This term is based on the recommendations of the Luxembourgish national data protection authority, the CNPD.

Personal data I collect in the course of my activities as Rechtsanwalt (advocate) under German law shall be retained in compliance with § 50 section 1 BRAO for a term of 5 years, starting once the mandate has been terminated.

Mandatory storage terms according to German or Luxembourgish tax law remain unaffected by the standard terms stated above.

 

Treatment of your contact data

If you provide Dr. Malzer your personal data by means of the contact form used on his website, he will retain and process your data. However, no personal data will not be transferred to third parties without your (implied) approval.

 

Your rights as a user

As a user, you may ask (free of cost) which of your personal data has been retained and processed.

You furthermore have the right to have your personal data corrected or erased, as far as this request doesn’t collide with any legal requirement to retain your data.

You have the right of data portability.

As far as you have the suspicion that your personal data has been processed unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the responsible data protection authority.

You can revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by e-mail to mam@dr-mm.eu. Note: This doesn’t affect the processing of your personal data undertaken before your withdrawal has been filed.
